Looking back on 2025

I’ve been reflecting on this year, and one thing stands out above the rest.

The most meaningful achievement wasn’t a title or a milestone. It was joining a new company, traveling across Europe to learn from the best, and making it halfway through the journey with intention and consistency. An effort that, toward the end of the year, paid off in the form of a new opportunity within a new team and a desired role.

I arrive in 2026 full of energy, ready to close the loop and bring together everything I’ve been building: habits, perspective, engineering skills, and resourcefulness.

Along the way, I finally found words for something I intuitively knew but couldn’t articulate until now:

“What if, what if, laziness is a habit of thinking about the cost of things or the effort instead of thinking about the payoff?

I’m going to say it again to get a few more heads to explode. What if laziness is nothing but a habit of thinking about the effort instead of thinking about the outcome?”

Read it again. It still blows my mind.
